VILLA CLARA, Cuba. – Workers of the Public Administration Union in Villa Clara participated in the process of collecting signatures for the release of former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
To that end, workers of the Physical Planning Department in that province claim with their rubrics for the release of the leader of the Workers’ Party.
During the collection of signatures in Villa Clara, members of the Public Administration Union expressed their willingness to join the international campaign for the annulment of the trials against the Brazilian politician.
This process began in Villa Clara on last October 18, and since then there are thousands of people who have participated in special mornings and rallies in support of Lula.
Granma Joins Campaign of Solidarity with Lula
The workers of Granma Meat Company, based in Bayamo, on signed this Tuesday in demand of the freedom of former president of Brazil.
This solidarity act was attended by Maria Magdalena Lopez Verdecia, from the Secretariat of the Workers’ Central Union of Cuba in Granma and trade union leaders.

The workers of Granma Meat Company denounced the unjust imprisonment of the leader of the Brazilian Workers’ Party, despite being innocent, and highlighted his firm attitude in not accepting his freedom without being acquitted.
These food industry workers condemn the U.S. empire, the main architect of the unjust case against Lula, which prevented him from being re-elected President of Brazil.
