SANCTI SPIRITUS, Cuba.- “We went, we are and will be revolution,” Susely Morfa, First Secretary of the Young Communist League of Cuba (UJC),” said in Sancti Spiritus referring to the Cuban youth.

During the ceremony for the birthday of the Jose Marti Pioneer Organization and the UJC, Morfa Gonzalez emphasized that Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro would be proud to see how the youth has grown as a unique hornet, dedicated to the tasks of the Revolution.

“Cuba is ours and we do it with much love and work, but also with all the self-determination and independence of deciding our destiny, and continuing to perfect our nation,” the also member of the Council of State said.

“That every Cuban be a Commander-in-Chief, be a Raul Castro, be a Party, that is the task we also call our youth to,” she remarked.

They Reaffirm the Role of Cuban Youth

Susely Morfa, First Secretary of the Young Communist League of Cuba (UJC), pointed out that Sancti Spiritus, venue of these celebrations, has been able to respond in a loyal and immediate way to the Party´s call.

Likewise, it has strengthened the political vanguard and the discipline of its militants, Morfa expressed in front of 5000 young of Sancti Spiritus gathered from a very early hour.

The political and cultural event was also attended by Jose Ramon Monteagudo, First Secretary in Sancti Spiritus, and Aleida Guevara, daughter of Ernesto Che Guevara.
It was a favorable time to deliver more than 400 UJC cards to middle and upper-middle school students, as well as other young people from production and services.
