Havana, Cuba.- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel highlighted Tuesday the progress made in the western province of Matanzas, where he is making a government visit.

‘Matanzas is revived and embellished. Stimulating meeting with students and professors at the Camilo Cienfuegos University’, Diaz-Canel wrote in Twitter.

‘Several production centers have been visited. Warm meetings with inhabitants of the city’, the message of the Cuban leader stresses.

Diaz-Canel in his visit to the University of Matanzas said: ‘science must become a productive force and increase added values, development and modernization in an important group of productive processes.’

That is why -he added- the significance of the mutual rapprochement between the bodies of the Central State Administration and the Cuban business community with the universities.

This university has a work dynamic and a proactive attitude towards society and the business sector, close to the concept of a corporate university that you have been developing in your partnerships with some entities and that could be extended to other latitudes, the Head of State recommended.
