Brussels, Belgium.- Cuba’s Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodriguez, is beginning today a tour of Europe that will take him to several countries.

According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry, the minister expects to participate in the 1st EU-Cuba Joint Council, taking place tomorrow in this capital.

Rodriguez will be in Geneva on Wednesday, May 16, to present the National Report of Cuba to the 3rd cycle of the Universal Periodic Review of the Human Rights Council.

For the third time, the Caribbean nation will report on to this mechanism (the previous ones were in 2009 and 2013) about the progress in human rights achieved in the last five years, which give continuity to the work done since the triumph of the Revolution.

The Cuban Foreign Ministry stated that the minister will make an official visit to Switzerland on Thursday, May 17, and will also carry out other activities.
