The director of the Coastal Engineering Division in Gamma Investments Ltd., Ernesto Trista, remarked today in Havana his organization´s work in the recovery of beaches in Latin America and the Caribbean.

We do this work in some coastal areas in the Dominican Republic and in Mexico, Trista said at the close of a workshop for journalists accredited by the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment in Cuba.

Trista explained these actions to deal with erosion, which affects a considerable number of resorts on the planet, are carried out with the same environmental approach applied in Cuba.

The official also pointed out that process had a dredging service from the Netherlands and was financed by the Cuban State, through the Ministry of Economy and Planning.
