HAVANA, Cuba.- The Company of Telecommunications of Cuba (ETECSA) and the SES Networks Company of Luxembourg signed an agreement for services of satellite capacity.

This agreement will allow to diversify Cuba´s connectivity complementing the existing one by optical fiber, which will be possible through a high-capacity medium-orbit satellite service very similar in some parameters of quality to the fiber. This guarantee additional capabilities that support Internet service for users.

SES Networks of Luxembourg is one of the world’s leading satellite communications market and provides services to content providers, Internet, fixed and mobile network operators, Governments and institutions.

Among the initiatives promoted by this European company are those aimed at offering intelligent and advanced network architectures.
