GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala. – Members of political, indigenous, peasant and intellectual organizations of Guatemala participated this Tuesday in a solidarity day with Venezuela and demanded the Guatemalan government to refrain from intervening in the affairs of that country.

People from different regions answered to the call of the Coordinator of Solidarity with Venezuela, a block in which the Network of Intellectuals, Artists and Social Movements in Defense of Humanity, the Committee of Peasant Development, and other organizations act.

The day began with a meeting in the square where the statue of Bolivar is in the Las Americas Avenue.

We all are Venezuela!, was the cry that rumbled in that space, where speakers expressed respect for Nicolas Maduro´s government and the decision to claim that from Guatemala do not arise interventionist actions on the Venezuelans´ right to decide their destiny.
