HANOI, Vietnam. – Roberto Morales Ojeda, Vice-President of the Councils of State and Ministers, was greeted in Hanoi by the Secretary General of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Nguyen Phu Trong.

Morales Ojeda, who led the Cuban delegation to the funeral honors of Vietnamese president Tran Dai Quang, presented his respects on behalf of the Party, the Government and the Cuban people.

For his part, Phu Trong expressed gratitude for the support of the island’s entourage at the moment and recalled Quang’s work in strengthening the links between the two countries.

The burial of the Vietnamese President took place this Thursday, and he already rests in his native land of Ninh Binh. After the rite of burial, the present kept a minute of silence in his honor and gave him the last farewell.
