CARACAS, Venezuela.- As part of the activities of the 2nd Venezuelan Women’s Congress, the Ministry of the sector set up this Thursday an inter-institutional committee for the design of a national campaign to prevent gender-based violence.

Minister Caryl Bertho pointed out that the program will seek to prevent, punish and eradicate actions of discrimination and violence against women, and added the country is advancing in the establishment of a society of respect, equality, love and peace.

On the same date, the Official Gazette of Venezuela published the maximum prices established by the Government and pharmaceutical laboratories for 56 medicines, according to the resolution issued by the Sectorial Vice-Presidency of the economic area.

The official journal establishes that the price of medicines must be displayed in the pharmacies and chains where they are marketed and will be maintained for the next three months.
