Alexander Yanez urged the US official to respect diplomatic relations between countries.

CARACAS, Venezuela. – Venezuela gave a new note of protest to the U.S. Chargé d’affaires in the country, Todd Robinson, as a rejection of his repeated interventionist statements against the sovereignty and peace of the Venezuelan people and Government.

The letter was given by the Vice Minister for Latin America of Foreign Affairs, Alexander Yanez, during a meeting at the Yellow House in Caracas, according to an official note.

During the meeting, Yanez urged the US official to respect diplomatic relations among countries, as reflected in the rules of International Law and the Vienna Convention.

Similarly, he urged the Government of President Donald Trump to respect the democracy and sovereignty of Venezuela, and reiterated that no country has the right to intervene in the political, economic and social affairs of the South American nation.
