United States and China resume trade consultations.

BEIJING, China.- China and the US resumed their trade consultations, with the precedent that in the previous one they reached consensus on some conflicting issues and are now closer to the expected pact to seal the tariff war.

As in all the previous occasions, Chinese Deputy Prime Minister Liu He leads the talks, while Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Deputy Trade representative Jeffrey Gerrish attend for the American part.

Discussions will cover issues such as intellectual property, compulsory transfer of technology, tariffs, agriculture, services, imports, and mechanisms with provisions to comply with the agreements.

This round of negotiations should finish tomorrow and, as transcended, another encounter will follow next week in Washington, with the same format of closed doors and without formal pronouncements.
