Beirut, Lebanon.-The League of Palestinians who graduated in Cuba condemned today the US blockade against the island, as well as the recent measures taken by President Donald Trump, while asking for the return of the territory occupied by the United States in Guantanamo.

During a ceremony to commemorate the Cuban National Rebellion Day on July 26th, a representation of Palestine read a letter at the Embassy of Havana in Lebanon expressing the solidarity of the Chatila camp’s refugees with Cuba.

The document mentioned the visit to that camp in 1959 of Argentinian-Cuban commander Ernesto Che Guevara and the courageous stance of Cuba in defense of the rights of the Palestinian people in their struggle to recover their sovereignty and expel the Israeli occupying forces.

In Chatila, Beirut, the events undergoing in Cuba are closely followed and a feeling of pride prevails due to the Cuban stance against colonialism, imperialism and Zionism, said the document.
