HAVANA, Cuba.- Struggling to keep Latin America as a region of peace is one of the great challenges of the Sao Paulo Forum, the vice-president of the International Democratic Federation of Women for America and the Caribbean, Gloria Ines Ramirez, said.

Ramirez highlighted that the event fixed for July 15 to 17 in Havana, is held at a time of a great historical significance.

There is much at stake, the representative added, who recalled how the Sao Paulo Forum arose on the initiative of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, and other great leaders of the region, to promote the collective reflection of the progressive movements and parties.

In line with the spirit with which the forum was created, the prominent Colombian policy considered that it has to refute this great neoliberal offensive articulated in the region.
