Colombians march to The Hague seeking support to peace.

BOGOTA, Colombia.- Opposition leaders in Colombia are heading to the International Criminal Court of The Hague to seek justice for social leaders and support for the Special Justice of Peace.

According to the Colombian Ombudsman’s Office, from January 2016 to February 2019, more than 400 social leaders and human rights defenders were murdered.

Likewise, the congressional representatives will express in The Hague their discontent with the presidential objection to the statutory law of the Special Jurisdiction for Peace, presented by President Ivan Duque.

Experts revealed that some twenty associations of Colombian residents in Europe joined the voyage to the Netherlands, carrying a huge black cloth with the names of social leaders, peasants and indigenous people killed in the last few years.
