LA PAZ, Bolivia.-  Evo Morales, President of Bolivia, warned that a triumph of the local right in the general election will mean the implementation of neoliberal policies instructed by the International Monetary Fund.

The right proposes the rationalization and restructuring of public investment to lay off workers, Evo affirmed at the campaign close of the Movement for Socialism in Oruro department.

The Bolivian President regretted the situation in some South American countries such as Argentina and Ecuador, with a deteriorated social situation because their governments implemented policies based on the shock therapies indicated by that international body.

According to analysts, Ecuador is experiencing a wave of protests over the cancellation of the gasoline subsidy decreed by President Lenin Moreno, to increase state revenues to respond the International Monetary Fund’s demands.
