U.S. sanctions against Venezuela affect IT sector.

CARACAS, Venezuela.- Oracle, the world’s largest commercial database software provider, reported that is withdrawing its services for Venezuela due to U.S. sanctions against the South American country.

According to a report from the specialized website Bleeping Computer, the US computer company sent letters to its clients, announcing that they would not be able to use its services.

The text adds that it is prohibited to sell any service, product, hardware or software of that American company, and to participate in any new business with existing customers in the Bolivarian nation.

The applications of the world’s largest commercial database software provider, which the U.S. blockade forces to withdraw from Venezuela, are used for the massive management of statistics in banks, insurance companies, financial institutions, universities and institutions private and public.
