HAVANA, Cuba. – The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, received this Thursday Ivan Melnikov, First Vice-President of the State Duma and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, who is visiting Cuba.

During the cordial meeting at the Palace of the Revolution, they discussed the excellent state of historical relationships between the two Governments and peoples, and exchanged about various topics on the international agenda.

Deputy Dimitri Novikov, First Vice-President of the International Relations Committee of the State Duma and coordinator of the Russia-Cuba Friendship Parliamentary Group, as well as Andrei Guskov, Russian Ambassador on the island, accompanied Ivan Melnikov.

The Cuban side involved Yolanda Ferrer Gomez, president of the International Relations Commission of the National Assembly of People´s Power.
