Cuba, unmasking a puppet

U.S. Embassy in Havana organizes campaign against Cuba.

HAVANA, Cuba.- The arrest of violent counter-revolutionary Jose Daniel Ferrer is used from the United States for a new campaign of slander against Cuba, a report presented by Cuban Television in the most recent broadcast of the National TV News denounced.

In this campaign full with falsehoods, Ferrer, with a long history of provocative actions against public order and legality, has received the support of such characters as Luis Almagro, Secretary General of the discredited Organization of American States.

The television report showed how the Chargé d´Affaires of the United States Embassy in Havana, Mara Tekach, personally directs that citizen to whom she urges to contempt law enforcement.

The images belied the message about the detainee’s health, transmitted by Ferrer’s wife, accompanied by Tekach.

A Criminal in Disguise

Jose Daniel Ferrer was arrested by the police in Santiago de Cuba last October 1st, following a complaint by Sergio Garcia, who accused him and three other individuals of kidnapping him and tipping him a severe beating.

The report presented by Cuban Television denounced that counter-revolutionary has a criminal record since 1993, which was corroborated with the testimonies of several former members of his group.

Images shown in the National TV News showed the self-aggression starred by Jose Daniel Ferrer, who is in prison awaiting trial, and who only this year received about 50 thousand dollars from the United States government, through the Cuban American National Foundation.

The media fuss around this case is just one more chapter of the subversive libretto written in Washington to slander Cuba.
