HAVANA, Cuba. – Luiz Eduardo Greenhalgh, visiting Cuba, lawyer of former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, offered statements to the press in Havana about a meeting with law students from the University of Havana.

The jurist, founder of the Brazilian Workers´ Party, explained there is no concrete evidence about the accusation of alleged corruption against Lula; it is all a big lie to keep him in prison unjustly.

My defendant, Eduardo Greenhalgh clarified, has been the victim of an atrocious compromise between the recalcitrant Brazilian right and the government of ultra rightist Bolsonaro, who submissive to the Empire, tries to remove Luiz Inacio from politics.

Greenhalgh asserted that a strong global campaign of solidarity with Lula will be able to influence on his release, and emphasized that Cuba has initiated an international movement for his freedom.
