Although numbers continue to mark a decreasing  trend in all COVID-19-related indicators in Cuba, the Government continues the daily check to the country’s epidemiological situation, under the premise of not neglecting for a second this frontal fight to the epidemic, which began at the beginning of March and in which the end point has not yet occurred.

At the close of yesterday, May 27, 555 patients are admitted to hospitals for epidemiological clinical surveillance. Another one thousand 684 people are monitored in their homes from Primary Health Care.

Cuba’s director of epidemiology, Francisco Duran, said on Tuesday that the favorable results achieved by the country in the fight against Covid-19 are no reason to be confident, nor to ignore the measures to prevent the spread of the disease.

26 May, 2020 Cuba Insists on Maintaining Measures against COVID-19

The Cuban Government reiterated its position to maintain the measures applied in the country against COVID-19 and not to let its guard down in the face of the epidemic, even with the tendency to decrease in the number of confirmed per day, 6 on Monday, and in the number of active patients, 159 out of 1,947 since the disease reached the island.
