MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay.- The world ratifies in the General Assembly of the United Nations the rejection of the U.S. blockade to Cuba, that´s the headline La Republica newspaper deploys this Friday.

The Uruguayan newspaper says that this year, twenty-seventh occasion in which such a proposal is presented, was marked by the American pressures to discredit Cuba by introducing eight draft amendments that only tried to lengthen the process.

La Republica refers to the support speeches to the operative project on behalf of several regional organizations, and the Cuban Chancellor’s denounce about the damage caused to his people by the blockade imposed by Washington.

In the opinion of Caras y Caretas magazine, Cuba presented a project that would put an end to the economic blockade imposed by the United States, in the understanding that it is a violation of international humanitarian law.
