Havana, Cuba.-The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fishing of the Republic of Congo, Henri Djombo, is starting today a working visit to Cuba, the Cuban Foreign Ministry reported today

According to the program, Djombo, who is also the Congolese State minister (vice president), will hold talks with Cuban Agriculture Minister Gustavo Luis Rodriguez, as well as with Food Industry Minister Maria del Carmen Concepcion, and will visit places of economic, social and cultural interests.

Djombo will participate in the opening ceremony of the 26th International Book Fair of Havana, from February 9-19, because he is the president of the of the Congolese National Association of Writers and and Artists.

The visit by the Congolese Vice president will conclude on February 10.

Cuba and Congo seek to boost their cooperation relations in these sectors, implementing the Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Agriculture, Livestock and Fishing, signed in August, 2016.
