HAVANA, Cuba. – Loro Horta, Timorese Ambassador in Cuba, honored this Monday the martyrs buried in the Pantheon of Veterans in Cristobal Colon Necropolis Columbus, on the 42nd anniversary of the Armed Forces of National Liberation of his country.

The diplomat placed a floral offering to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Liberating Army, of clandestinity, the Rebel Army, Giron and of the Fight against Bandits, as well as to the fallen in internationalist feats.

Horta expressed his admiration for the veterans of the wars in Cuba and for those who offered their lives in the effort to help the liberation of nations in need.

The Cuban military has shown their bravery and dedication on countless times. They have served with honor, dignity and heroism, and many peoples in the world have a great debt to this country, the Timorese Ambassador said.
