HAVANA, Cuba.- Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, verified in Diez de Octubre municipality the progress of the recovery works from the damage caused by the tornado.

In Hijas de Galicia Maternity Hospital, the President talked with health workers who work there restoring services, after the damage caused by the strong winds that forced the evacuation of patients.

When talking with the population, Diaz-Canel was interested in the implementation of measures for the sale of construction materials, the relocation of affected families, and the process of restoring vital services.

The Cuban President was accompanied by other members of the Council of Ministers and the first Secretary of the Party in Havana, Luis Torres Iribar, as well as by other political and governmental authorities of the territory.
