Havana, Cuba.-Deputies to the National Assembly of People”s Power in Cuba begin their work today in commissions to discuss issues related to the economic and social development of the country.

The meeting will be held in the capital Conference Center once the Council of State, in accordance with what is established in Articles 78 and 90 (a) of the Constitution, has held an Extraordinary Session of Parliament.

The representatives will analyze issues such as the conceptualization of the Cuban Economic and Social Model of Socialist Development, the Guidelines of the Party and the Revolution Policy for the period 2016-2021.

Also, they will know about the Bases of the Plan of Economic and Social Development until 2030: Vision of the Nation, Axes, and Strategic Sectors.

According to the newspaper Granma, in the last debates of the ruling documents of the updating of the socioeconomic model more than one million 600 thousand people participated.

The 47 thousand 470 meetings were attended by members of the various political and mass organizations of the country, as well as all sectors of Cuban civil society.

The citizens analyzed the new amendments to the Guidelines of the Economic and Social Policy of the Party and the Revolution, recently approved by the members of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in its third plenary session.
