HAVANA, Cuba. – The Vice-President of the American Society of Hematology, Alexis Thompson, considered a privilege to participate for the first time in Cuba in a meeting dedicated to that field in medicine.

Thompson recalled the entity that participates in the 2017 Hematology Congress together with members of one hundred countries, is the largest association in the world focused on blood diseases and its causes.

This meeting in Cuba is an unprecedented event for us, and it represents many of the countries of origin of our associates, the specialist said.

The 2017 Hematology Congress began last Monday and included a commercial exhibition with the attendance of companies and national organizations from Germany, Angola, Brazil, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, and United Kingdom.
