NAYPYIDAW, Myanmar.- The Minister for the Office of the State Counselor and Chancellor of Myanmar, Kyaw Tint Swe and the concurrent ambassador of Cuba in that country, Hector Conde, welcomed the good state of bilateral relations.

Both sides reaffirm the importance of joining forces in defending the unity, dignity and sovereignty of developing countries and maintaining close cooperation in the various multilateral forums, Conde said.

The Cuban diplomat gave the hosts the report that, under the UN General Assembly resolution, will be presented next October 31 to this body to expose the need to put an end to the blockade against the island.

The Myanmarese Minister and the Cuban Ambassador valued some ways to strengthen cooperation in fields such as education, health, biotechnology, sports and direct bilateral trade for the benefit of both peoples.
