CARACAS, Venezuela.- More than 12,450,000 people, just over a third of the Venezuelan population, currently benefit with the Great Mission of Venezuela, Minister of Habitat and Housing Ildemaro Villarroel said.

In a special program broadcasted by Venezuelan Television, Villarroel highlighted the arrival to the figure of 2.6 million worthy households allocated to families in need since the activation of that housing program in 2011.

The Venezuelan Minister of Habitat and Housing said that thousands of foreigners based in Venezuela were equally favored with this social protection project, most of them coming from Colombia.

Villarroel emphasized that the beneficiaries themselves helped to build 37.4 percent of houses and they received materials and technical advice.
