malmiercaRome, Italy.-Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, continues his visit to Italy with an interview with the Minister of Economic Development Carlo Calenda. Malmierca will also participate in the opening session of the Fifth edition of the Cuba-Italy Business Committee and will meet with the president for the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Kanayo F. Nwanze.

The minister arrived in Rome from the Netherlands, where he had been on a three-day visit to review the good state of the bilateral economic relations with the Dutch authorities and to promote business opportunities in Cuba.

During his stay in the Netherlands, he met with Foreign Minister Bert Koenders, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Lilianne Ploumen, Agriculture Minister Martijn van Dam and Amsterdam Mayor, Eberhard van der Laan, among others.

Malmierca also met with officials from the Development Bank FMO and managers from Dutch companies interested in the Cuban market. He also presented business opportunities in Cuba at a seminar attended by business people and representatives of official institutions.
