AVANA, Cuba. – The second Colloquium titled Hugo Chavez, the passion that unite us, will be held in Santiago de Cuba next July, to delve into the footprint of the Venezuelan leader a little more than four years of his death.

Sources of the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) reported the event will take place from July 3 to five, and it will be co-sponsored by the Cuban-Venezuelan foundations Oscar Ruiz and Caracola, and the House of the Caribbean, based in Santiago de Cuba.

Inserted in the 37th International Festival of the Caribbean, the meeting will highlight the fourteen years of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America, created by former Chavez and Fidel Castro.

The Colloquium in Santiago de Cuba will delve into the multiple dimensions of Chávez’s thinking, his confluence with Fidel, the friendship that united them, and the current challenges the Venezuelan revolutionaries face.
