SANTA CLARA, Villa Clara. – Artists from the Cuban province of Villa Clara will pay homage to the historic leader of the Revolution Cuban, a year from his physical disappearance, with a soiree in the Ernesto Che Guevara historical monuments in Santa Clara city.

The cultural program dedicated to Fidel includes soloists Gustavo Felipe Remedios and Yaila Corcho, as well as trios Sedacero and Palabras, the Awo Ache folkloric group and Cuba Dances Company.

In the cantata to Fidel tonight in Villa Clara they will also perform the Ensemble Vocal Musa chorus, musical groups Quinteto Criollo and Alejandro and His Onyx, and students of Art.

Similar activities will take place in Camaguey, Bayamo and Granma, provinces where the funeral urn with the Commander-in-Chief’s ashes stayed overnight, previous to its arrival to Santiago of Cuba.
