Havana, Cuba.- Cuba is a country with huge potential for economic development, among other factors due to the culture of its people, stated Italian businessman Antonio Loiacono on Thursday.

This is a very safe country, which has an excellent health service, the manager of Arthemia Milano told Prensa Latina, a firm specialized in products such as ice cream, creams and tea.

‘I feel Cuban because I have been visiting this country for more than 15 years,’ Loiacono stressed during a dialogue in the context of the 37th edition of the Havana International Fair.

Loiacono explained that his products are marketed in the Cuban hotel network, although in the future he also hopes to promote them in the self-employed sector, especially in coffee shops and restaurants.

As part of the socio-economic development strategy, Cuban authorities are promoting foreign investment in the country.

Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, posted on Twitter yesterday that for the last three years, the country has accumulated more than six billion dollars of foreign investment capital.

‘This 2019 we will have more than two billion dollars in investment despite the US blockade,’ he noted.
