British newspaper The Independent called as a true sign of global solidarity, Cuba’s gesture of welcoming a UK cruise with several cases of Covid-19 on board.

The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, highlighted in his Twitter account the solidarity of the Cuban people and government, expressed repeatedly and in different parts of the world in the face of disasters or other contingencies.
UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Rennie Raab on Tuesday thanked the Cuban government for permitting the cruise ship with coronavirus cases to dock there, and for helping passengers and crew return to UK.
Cuba reported two new cases of persons positive for the Sars-CoV-2 virus, causing the Covid-19 disease, for a total of seven infected now, Health Ministry authorities reported Tuesday evening.
The British cruise ship MS Braemar is reportedly docking in the western Cuban port of Mariel this Wednesday and all the passengers will be flown to the United Kingdom this same day, including those sick with the Covid-19.
