HAVANA, Cuba. – Under the motto Multiplying Efforts in Recovery by the Paths of Triumph, the Workers’ Central Union of Cuba (CTC) has convened a national day of voluntary work for next October 7th.

Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, secretary general of the CTC, said the action will give continuity to the recovery taking place in the country after the passage of Hurricane Irma and it will pay homage to Che Guevara, promoter of volunteer work.

During the National Day they will work in planting related to the cold campaign, and the recovery of the production and investments process in factories and workshops producing construction materials.

Sanitation and hygiene in workplaces, communities and cities are also part of the volunteer work day.
