They Consider the Summit as a Political Instrument of the USA

The Vice-Minister of coordination with Social Movements of Bolivia, Jose Maria Alessandri, considered that since its creation, the Summit of the Americas became an instrument of U.S. policy, local media reflect.

Alessandri said that such an assertion is appreciated this year, whose interventionist attitude is evident with the exclusion of Venezuela to the eighth edition of the Summit, for having a democratic government, elected by popular will.

The Bolivian Vice-Minister added that situation is the cause that for more than twelve or thirteen years ago, the social organizations of the continent develop in parallel the Peoples´ Summit.

In this occasion, scheduled for today and tomorrow in Lima, the Venezuelan affair and its President Nicolas Maduro is one of the most important to deal with, in addition to the Bolivian maritime theme, he noted.
