HAVANA, Cuba. – Aguas de La Habana Company works in the restoration of services in affected areas of the capital, after the passage of Hurricane Irma, using tanker trucks to supply drinking water to the population.

According to Delia Aviles Mesa, head of Aguas de La Habana in Old Havana municipality, they are cleaning and filling all the cisterns the area from Malecon to Colon, where the sea penetrated.

The expert added they are providing services to affected people and to other territories with a permanent water supply plan.

The most damaged areas are Peña Pobre, Aguiar, Cuba, Refugio, Habana, San Lazaro and Infanta. Old Havana municipality is supplying tanker trucks of the Aguas de La Habana and three of the Historian’s Office.
