People's Power Delegates Account for Their Constituents

HAVANA, Cuba.- For the first time since they took office in December last year, the delegates of the Cuban People’s Power will account for their management to their constituents starting this Thursday, what constitutes one of the most unique moments of the Cuban political system.

A note issued by the National Assembly of People´s Power points out the process has scheduled more than sixty nine thousand meetings, whose purpose is to exchange on the problems of the community.

The neighbors’ meetings also aim to achieve an enabling scenario to unite efforts in order to improve the situation in neighborhoods and highlight the best examples of the values Cubans defend.

The press release specifies the process was postponed to facilitate the popular consultation on the draft Constitution, which has left a very positive environment in the communities.
