HAVANA, Cuba. – As part of the process of recovering emblematic places in Havana, Rio Cristal recreational complex and La Ruina Restaurant of Lenin Park were inaugurated this Monday.

Alfonso Muñoz, director general of the Provincial Lodging Company, reported that Rio Cristal that will open its doors from today was submitted to an expensive repair.

Muñoz explained that new services are incorporated as an Internet browsing room, a technological center with electronic games, a WiFi zone, a bakery-specialized confectionery and the renewed restaurant.

Mercedes Lopez Acea, first Secretary of the Cuban Communist Party of Havana stressed that the family attending this center will find moderate prices, an objective pursued in all the recreational facilities in the city.

Lenin Park Reanimates Its Services

The restaurant La Ruina in Lenin Park, repaired during two years was reopened this Monday and it will begin to provide services this Friday in national currency, Annia Massino, director of the park said.

She explained that now the restaurant will only open on weekends, as constructive actions continue to give back the institution the splendor of its first years.

President of the Cuban Parliament Esteban Lazo made a call to maintain the building and provide quality services to the height our people deserve.

Lazo pointed out that both La Ruina and Rio Cristal are places of reference in Havana, therefore, it is necessary to preserve them and to make known to workers and visitors the effort made to contribute to their care.
