HAVANA, Cuba.- Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdes, member of the Political Bureau, highlighted the efforts of the industrial sector workers in the Committee on Industries, Construction and Energy which meets in Havana, as part of the work of the permanent committees of the Parliament.

The Minister of Industry, Salvador Pardo Cruz, presented the main results in the securing of guidelines and programs in which this entity participates, mainly in the substitution of imports and the solution to problems.

Pardo Cruz referred to the work in the energy saving program, the securing to basic basket, transport, sugar harvest, tourism, health, education, and the state of the principal foreign investments.

Members explained particularities in the implementation of these programs and pointed out they had to apply many of their own solutions to difficulties.
