HAVANA, Cuba.- King of Spain Felipe VI and Queen Letizia Ortiz visited this Thursday the Center of Molecular Immunology (CIM), belonging to the BIOCUBAFARMA Group and a leader in the production of medicines against cancer and other autoimmune diseases.

The distinguished visitors were received by Dr. Eduardo Ojito, director general of CIM, and Eduardo Martinez, president of BIOCUBAFARMA, who showed them the model of the center and accompanied them on a tour of the facilities.

The Spanish King and Queen also spoke with patients receiving treatment with Cimavax, a therapeutic vaccine developed by CIM for advanced lung cancer, and were interested in the mechanism of action of the drug.

The Center of Molecular Immunology is a national reference biotechnological company with a presence in more than 30 foreign markets.
