CARACAS, Venezuela.- The Deputy Minister of International Communication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, William Castillo, denounced the international media war driven by Spanish newspaper ABC against Venezuela.

Through a message spread on Twitter, Castillo noted that this dirty campaign operates in many forms against the Bolivarian nation.

In this regard, the official stated that the Spanish media intended to accuse Venezuela of being home to a base of operations to destabilize the Latin American region; and noted that it is a discredited newspaper, which uses Ivan Simonovis, fugitive from Venezuelan justice, as source of this alleged information.

Last February, President Nicolas Maduro denounced the international press for its constant attack on the country, after presenting a distorted reality, in order to justify a military aggression against the national sovereignty.
