
The Summit of the Americas advances its program.
LIMA, Peru. – Representatives of regional civil society and some governments will hold today in Lima the so-called Hemispheric Dialogue, an exchange that is included in the parallel activities of the eighth Summit of the Americas.
Mirtia Brossard, spokesperson of the Cuban Coalition will participate in this meeting. Brossard is the only one accredited until the moment by the organizers.
Also with Cuban presence it starts the third Business Summit and it will continue the Youth Forum and the Peoples´ Summit. In in one of the workshops, titled The Summit of the Americas and the OAS: its geopolitical agenda Cuban politologist Iroel Sánchez will participate as a panelist.
Wednesday was marked by a complaint by the Cuban delegation of several provocations and suspicious exclusions that rarefied the environment in the parallel forums.

The Peoples’ Summit, alternative to the government’s appointment of the Americas, became this Wednesday a space for reflection on the regional reality with the two-panel sessions that addressed the area’s problems.
What is at stake in Peru for the region and What is at stake in our America were the titles of these meetings, where prominent intellectuals, including Cuban essayist Enrique Ubieta, took part.
In the third meeting of the ParlAmericas Open Parliament Network, Cuban parliamentarian Edward Roberts Campbell ratified the absence of political corruption in Cuba, because it the State is not responsible for economic transactions.
In the paralll Forum to the eighth Summit of the Americas, the deputy said the directors of State bodies are not account holders, owners or shareholders in large companies.
