SAN SALVADOR, El Salvador.- With tributes to Hugo Chavez, Schafik Handal and Farabundo Marti continues this Friday in San Salvador, the Central American Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, initiated with a massive people´s march.

Thousands of Salvadorans and delegates from other countries walked this Thursday from the central Simon Bolivar Square to Roundabout Jose Marti, through the heart of San Salvador, to express their solidarity with the Cuban people and their revolution.

Fernando Gonzalez, president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with Peoples and Hero of the Republic of Cuba, said the freedoms enjoyed by Cubans are largely thanks to the unconditional support of countries such as El Salvador.

This Friday the theoretical debates, panels and exchanges of experiences of the meeting are held, with the participation of delegates from Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, and El Salvador.
