Parliaments of Korea and Cuba strengthen relations.

HAVANA, Cuba.- The Vice-President of the Central Committee of the Labor Party of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Ri Su Yong, ratified the strengthening of relations with the Cuban Parliament.

In a meeting with the President of the Cuban National Assembly of People’s Power, Esteban Lazo, the visitor highlighted the interest to consolidate the bonds of these bodies, to the height of those existing between Governments, parties and peoples.

The visit of the Cuban President, Miguel Diaz-Canel, contributed to revitalize the political and fraternal links between the two nations, the president of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Korean Supreme Assembly added.

For his part, Esteban Lazo thanked the support for the cessation of the economic and financial blockade imposed by the United States, intensified with the recent activation of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act.
