PARIS, France.- International analysts warned that the victory of the far right in the European elections in France constitutes a first defeat in ballot boxes for President Emmanuel Macron, with a view to the general elections of 2022.

The experts explained that the votes of last Sunday were considered a first plebiscite for the head of State two years after his arrival in power, but he did not succeed as all the surveys predicted.

In addition to pollsters’ forecasts, many expected this result due to the numerous social crises affecting the French government, from protests against labor reform to the movement of yellow waistcoats.

According to the figures disclosed by the Ministry of Interior, the National Regrouping Party, of Marine Le Pen, overrode the Republic in Progress government movement.
