LA PAZ, Bolivia. – Bolivian President Evo Morales said this Thursday that after 50 years of the physical disappearance of Ernesto Che Guevara, the guerrilla is immortal for Bolivia and the world.

During the ceremony for the anniversary 65 of the Federation of Oil Workers of Bolivia, Morales stressed that the guerrilla movements in Latin America, like the one led by Ernesto Guevara in the Andean-Amazonian nation, were to liberate the region.

Evo Morales also recalled the work of the only woman in Che’s troop, Tamara Bunke Bider, who died alongside other guerrillas in an ambush in the Grande River.

He also called on the oil workers, the Bolivian people and all the countries in the world to join the activities that will take place in Santa Cruz Department, on occasion of the 50 years of the presence of Che in Bolivia.
