BEIJING, China.- Cuba participates this Monday in an international forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which meets in the Chinese autonomous region of Guangxi Zhuang, to discuss innovation and medical collaboration.

Yamira Palacios, head of the Office of Marketing of Cuban Medical Services, stated the program includes the debate of issues such as the need to cooperate to raise the quality of health benefits.

Other topics the forum will discuss in China, are to take advantage of the strengths of each territory, to encourage the exchange of experiences in academic training, at scientific level and in research, Palacios added.

The deliberations include strengthening primary health care as the focus of disease prevention, and exploring ways to share technologies and train new specialists.
