MOSCOW, Russia. – Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered today an immediate assistance to those affected by floods in several regions, caused by spring thaws, in which some 200 homes were under the waters.

The Ministry of Emergencies announced that the center of the country is the most affected part, after flood provoked by melt in five rivers of that region.

Putin recalled that regional leaders have to resolve in the shortest possible time everything related to the evacuation of affected people to safe areas, and also pointed out that the State planned resources for lifesaving actions.

The Russian President remarked the relevance of immediacy, volume and efficiency to implement recovery plans in the face of water rises, which in some cases were the most damaging in 50 years, due to climate change and high temperature rise
