Havana, Cuba.- The United States has nearly 800 military bases worldwide and to attain its criminal purposes it offends and lies about Cuba and Venezuela, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel wrote in Twitter on Monday.

‘The United States, with nearly 800 bases and hundreds of thousands of military personnel all over the world, accuses Cuba of having military forces in Venezuela. A mockery to the world. An offense to two sovereign nations. Bolton lies again and his intention is criminal’, asserted the Cuban President.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez recently reiterated the US military presence in 177 countries and 800 military bases worldwide.

‘The United States is the country which produces, sells and uses most of the weapons. It has a military presence in 177 countries, more than 250,000 soldiers and 800 bases around the world, 80 in Latin America and the Caribbean’, Rodriguez wrote in Twitter.

‘It now intends to meddle in legitimate relations between sovereign states. Its accusations are cynical and ‘Monroistic”, the Cuban Foreign Minister pointed out in his message on the social media, refering to the Monroe Doctrine.
