Cuban Chancellor at Summit of Caribbean States.

HAVANA, Cuba.- The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, arrived on Wednesday to Managua to participate in the Eighth Summit of the Association of Caribbean States (AEC) that begins this Thursday.

The Advisory Minister of the President of Nicaragua for Policy and International Affairs, Sidhartha Marin, and Cuban Ambassador Juan Carlos Hernandez Parrilla received the Cuban Chancellor.

The Summit of the AEC will be held today and tomorrow under the slogan Joining Efforts in the Caribbean to Address the Consequences of Climate Change; hence, an important part of the debate is around the challenges of Small Island States and others with coasts to the Caribbean.

Last Wednesday, at the pre-appointment preparatory meeting, the delegations adjusted the conclave’s agenda and reviewed issues that the high-level meeting will discuss.
